Animated introduction
The animated introduction is a Flash® media animation. It provides a visual representation of the role of Advocacy Tasmania Incorporated, and links this to our logo, in the following way:
- Words representing our four central advocacy programs move into the centre of the screen. The words are coloured to match the colour schemes which are used in our brochures for these programs, and which we also use on this website:
- disability, coloured green
- aged care, coloured dark red
- home and community care, coloured blue
- mental health, coloured purple
- After a few seconds, the background immediately behind the text of the four advocacy programs fades from white into orange, obscuring the text altogether. Effectively each of the programs is now represented by an orange bar.
- A navy blue polygon appears towards the left side of the screen. This is the underlying shape of the logo.
- The four orange bars slide left into position on top of the navy blue polygon, all left-aligned with the left side of the polygon. When they come to rest, the four bars are stacked vertically with even spacing between the first top three, like rungs of a ladder, with a double space between the third and fourth, bottom, bar, suggesting a missing rung.
- From the position where this rung is missing, a grey bar grows out to the right, from the left of the navy blue polygon. As it gets longer to the right, the leading edge of the bar gradually unveils the words
ADVOCACY
(above the grey bar) and TASMANIA INC.
(below the grey bar), and when all this text is visible, the grey bar stops growing. The logo is completely formed at this point.
- After a second or two, a jumble of letters falls from the logo, and while tumbling down, they are arranged into the motto
Working to protect your rights.
